A delegation from the Ulm/Neu-Ulm Urban Development Association, including Neu-Ulm Mayor Katrin Albsteiger, Ulm Mayor Martin Ansbacher, who will take office on March 1, Elchingen Mayor Joachim Eisenkolb, the mayors of Dornstadt, Blaustein and Nersingen and the managers and employees of the two urban development associations, visited the Elchingen-based company BUSSE Design+Engineering as part of a working meeting.
In addition to the interdisciplinary possibilities of BUSSE in the field of product development from the idea to the series product, the pressure to innovate and the importance of strategic product development against the background of global competition and to maintain the clout of Germany as a business location were also highlighted.
The Managing Director of BUSSE Design+Engineering GmbH, Mr. Felix Timm, also discussed the entrepreneurial and urban policy challenges such as attracting employees, environmental and bureaucratic hurdles.
It was agreed that the Ulm innovation region as an interface between Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg is an important driver for the region and that the attractiveness of the location must be clearly emphasized and further expanded: both in the external presentation, e.g. on job portals, as well as through the expansion of living space, childcare facilities, digital connections, etc.
