At the international exhibition for metalworking, Mikron Machining presented the new machine tool kit with fully integrated automation in the form of the Mikron 6x6.

With Mikron 6x6, the customer gets the machining center exactly matched to his special requirements. 6 perfectly matched clamping modules for the highest demands and individual production use can be freely combined with 6 integrated and optimized automation stages. The possibility of individual configuration allows the machine to be perfectly adapted to the user's needs. Full accessibility and automation allow optimal and unrestricted access to all important components of the machine. Mikron 6x6 is available as a single-spindle or double-spindle machining center. Double spindle machining is possible by using one spindle for CNC corrected finishing. This means that all workpieces and nests can be reached with only one spindle.

Mikron Machining is the leading supplier of customized, high-performance manufacturing systems for the production of complex and high-precision metal components, such as turbocharger housings, injection nozzles and ballpoint pen tips. The Mikron brand stands for competence, performance, precision and quality.

The new machine design must make these values visible and convey them. The primary design statement of the 6x6 stands for precision and value with high standout performance in function and design. This is conveyed by a high degree of order in the design language. The design elements appear reduced, linear, orthogonal and consistent. The structural design is clearly structured and color-coded: the body is white, the front and accesses are dark, and the portal is blue to emphasize the access and give the machine a central, visual focus. The portal of the Mikron 6x6 gives the machine something absolutely extraordinary. We have achieved our goal of significantly characterizing the design appearance and providing it with unique selling points, thus also supporting the innovative system structure of the modular system. The CX-24, which was also presented at the trade fair and designed by BUSSE Design+Engineerung, fits into the new appearance of the Mikron brand with its uncluttered effect. The overall appearance of the Mikron brand in terms of design is thus coherent and forward-looking.

At the AMB in Stuttgart, we were able to see for ourselves the successful implementation of the design of the two machines Mikron 6x6 and Mikron Multistar CX-24 and congratulate Mikron Machining on this forward-looking step.
