Award-winning, practical and perfect: Juwel has reinvented the composter with the Aeroplus 6000. The intelligent three-chamber system and simple operation make time-consuming composting much easier.

Filling, moving, mixing, removing - composting means hard work and a lot of time. Until now, anyway. Because the Austrian company Juwel is now confidently advertising that it has reinvented the composter with its new Aeroplus 6000 model. The device incorporates Juwel's own experience with composters, several years of testing in collaboration with the Institute of Microbiology at the University of Innsbruck, and the knowledge of the product designers at Busse Design + Engineering. The result has convinced the experts, as the Aeroplus 6000 has already received two awards for its function and design: the red dot award ("honorable mention") in 2012 and as product of the year 2013 by the pro-K Industrieverband Halbzeuge und Konsumprodukte aus Kunststoff.

Its three-chamber system sets the Aeroplus 6000 apart from all composters known to date. Fresh garden waste is accumulated in the anaerobic collection chamber, which a wind-proof flap seals and largely keeps flying insects out. When the collection chamber is full, its contents are simply emptied via external levers into the aerobic composting chamber below, which is ventilated from all sides. Because the volume of waste in the composting chamber shrinks significantly, the collection chamber can be emptied up to three times in succession.

From the rotating floor of the composting chamber, the already largely composted material falls into the maturing chamber after six to eight weeks; all that is needed is to operate the hand crank on the outside of the composter. The finished compost can finally be conveniently removed from the maturing chamber after a short time via two opposite removal flaps.

Busse Design + Engineering designed the Aeroplus 6000 in close coordination with JUWEL, right up to supplying the area data sets for production. In addition to the innovative three-chamber system, the focus was on the particularly user-friendly design of the composter, which ensures convenient, safe and clean working.

JUWEL H. Wüster GmbH, based in Imst/Tyrol, was founded in 1978. The company advertises with the slogan "Intelligent products for garden and household" and produces rotary clothes dryers, garden building blocks, cold frames and composters for private gardens.
